When asked what his favorite thing is about working for Merion at The Ledges, Luis told me,... You can’t think of The Ledges without thinking of Luis! A part of the team for the past 7 years, Luis brings a ton of heart to his job and his community. When asked what his favorite thing is about working for Merion at The Ledges, Luis told me, “When Merion came knocking to buy The Ledges and I saw the due diligence team, or rather “The Dream Team” as I called them, they showed how being professional and experts at their job didn’t hinder their humanity or sense of themselves. They were having fun doing their job. It was incredibly contagious.” It is his drive to truly help someone find a good place to call home and where they want to live that brings him in each day. And what makes The Ledges specifically so special? “The team. A community is only as great as the sum of its parts. Because we care; they care.” If Luis could hop on a plane and vacation anywhere tomorrow? He’d love to go to Japan to immerse himself in the culture, food, & history!

Victor, his work ethic, his knowledge, and heart has been a vital part of our team at The Ledges for the past 16 years. Thinking back all those years ago, Victor remembers The Ledges being a brand-new community and the opportunity for a long maintenance career was why he chose to join the team. Since then, Victor has that it’s the team and the incredible communication between them is what makes being at The Ledges so special. His favorite thing about working at The Ledges? Victor says, “the service we provide to the residents”. Victor loves listening to Merengues music and says that he’d go to the gorgeous beaches of the Dominican Republic if he could vacation anywhere in the world.

Michael comes from Honolulu, HI, and if he finds himself getting on another plane, it would most certainly be too soon. He loves the unfathomable beauty of the northeast and feels he has found a new home in Connecticut. When he is not working, he is likely watching weird movies about existential crises, and adoring his wife and child.

It’s safe say that we are just as happy as Jesus is that he made the move. When asked what makes working at The Ledges special? Jesus says it’s simply the people. He enjoys coming to work each day because he has such a supportive environment. A rock star at heart, Jesus loves listening to rock n’ roll & Spanish music. And when asked if he could vacation anywhere in the world? He’d love to visit the Sunshine state! He’s never been to Florida and looks forward to his first visit.
